About Me
The internet has given every one of us the opportunity to be a part of “the Media”. We are now all in the business of expressing our opinions and we’ve all got an audience. In the past we were only able to publicly express our opinions by calling in to the rare talk radio show to try to claim our 30 seconds of fame or to write a letter to the editor with little or no hope that it would get published. The Blog craze is having a bit of reverse effect on that situation. The “Media” is mining blogs to get new insights and to gauge public opinion. At the same time we’ve had an explosion of commentary programming coming from cable TV and free speech has had a rebirth on the radio. And it’s all good. But right now broadcast media is mostly one way communication. I don’t think there is any way to change that to any great extent but that does not mean that each of us cannot try to talk back to the talkers through our blogs. To that end I intend to write a series of rebuttals and critiques on media personalities and their perspectives. If you find them interesting I hope you will add your own comments to mine.Recent Entries
