Addicted to Mexicans

June 6, 2007 / by nobullthinker

The main reason our politicians are giving for abandoning our borders is that we must take advantage of the infinite pool of cheap labor that exists to our south. And they’re right. We must have that cheap labor the same way a crackhead must have his crack. America is deeply addicted to cheap Mexican labor and would suffer serious withdrawal symptoms if its supply was suddenly cut off.

But it is not true (as it has often been said) that there are jobs Americans will not do. The truth is that the kinds of jobs that are being talked about when this is said are jobs that Americans don’t have to do. They don’t have to do them because we are in an advanced stage of creeping socialism. If we allow socialism to continue to progress in this country our future looks grim indeed. Any chance of avoiding this future requires that we understand how we managed to get ourselves into this situation in the first place.

The U.S. has always leaned on Mexican labor to some degree. It was never necessary in the past, however, to halt the seasonal flow of ‘pickers’ that came here to make money and perform a service in our fields and orchards. There was an excellent balance to that system. Mexicans who came here truly did come to do hard labor. Americans understood this and when these people learned the language and sought greater opportunity here they were embraced as much or more than immigrants from anywhere else on earth. So what happened?

Socialism happened. The war on poverty happened. The government stepped in to solve the problems of the poor. The government set up the conditions that are taking us on the same death spiral that is the ultimate end for all socialist states. Socialism is a fantasy that can only end in a nightmare.

Whether socialism comes through revolution or it creeps up on a State gradually there is a poisonous seed at its core that is nearly impossible to overcome:

The notion that people will gladly turn over the fruits of their hard labor and see it consumed by people who will not put forth an equal effort is a pipe dream.

People, you may have noticed, get unbelievably petty when it comes to sweat equity. In virtually every office situation you will find that workers are eyeing one another to make sure everyone is doing his fair share of the work. If it is noticed that someone is slacking efforts will be made get that person’s performance up to standard. If that individual refuses to perform – and this is the poisonous seed I mentioned – everyone else in the office will perform down to his level. The logic behind it is that if the boss will accept a reduced performance level from one he’ll have to accept it from all. This attitude prevails in practically all group endeavors.

It has been said that during the last years of the Soviet Republic there were record crops being produced on the farms. Yet there was not enough bread to feed the people. The reason was that no one would go out and harvest those crops. Ivan wouldn’t do it ‘because Nikoli wouldn’t do it. Nikoli wouldn’t do it ‘because Peter wouldn’t do it. Peter wouldn’t do it ‘cause he was going to get paid the same whether he did it or not. All of them would rather see themselves and their families go hungry than see someone else enjoy the fruits of his labor.

We see our own country in this position now. We need our Mexicans for more than just agriculture. We need them in our hotels, restaurants, landscaping companies etc. These have become jobs Americans don’t have to do because they can get paid as much by exploiting our socialist programs. And the level of jobs Americans don’t have to do is rising. Construction and factory jobs are being taken by illegal aliens now. And illegals who have been here a short time are learning that often they don’t have to do jobs Americans won't do either. They are learning how to manipulate our socialist programs so that they can mingle in the streets, form gangs, reproduce and create criminal enterprises.

Our addiction to Mexicans is growing at an unsustainable rate. It is a mathematical fact that the more illegals we bring in to this country the more we will need to sustain them. There is an absolute exponentiality to this human progression. If we don’t kick this addiction it will ultimately kick us.

Communism and socialism are fantasies young people are drawn to in their naiveté and refuse to re-examine when they’re old enough to know better. Hillary and Bill were young communists. Testosterone overwhelmed Bill’s interest in the higher ideals of the theory. Estrogen only narrowed Hillary’s focus. The Red Star still burns brightly in her soul and her dream is to make it the 51st on our flag. I hope America is at least able to see that much. Hillary is the worst of all possible candidates.

Which will overrun us first, the hordes of Mexicans or the Muslim ones?

nobull: I have never read such claptrap as you spin. I don't wish to engage in an ad hominem attack, but you make statements for which you give no support. It doesn't bother me a whit that you oppose socialism. But when you make irresponsible language and charges, you ought to be held accountable. And by what right and evidence?
If I read you rightly, any program or social enterprise by government is socialism. And if it is socialism it is wrong and will not work. Social security, then, is socialistic, and is not woring. Medicare and Medicaid, ditto. The GI Bill for veternas was and is socialistic, and
ipso facto, not working. True or false?
When corporations are given special entitlements, is that not "socialism"? And is it working or not? You just ruined my lunch, but you have suppied me with my next blog.

do you charge tha the Clintons "were young communists." ? [GLARE]
  • nobullthinker said 1 years ago
Didn't mean to ruin your lunch - but better lunch than breakfast or dinner I think.
Where one draws the line on what is or is not socialism is a matter of personal perspective. I'd define it as any program that is funded by tax $ and is created by the government for the purpose of managing its citizen's lives. Communism goes further by collecting all the wealth produced by its citizenry and redistributing it according to the needs of the State first and the needs of the people second. So, yes, I would classify the programs you cited as socialist in concept. But not those items you refer to as "corporate entitlements".
Taxes on business are nothing more than a decietful way for government to heap greater taxes on the people and to divert the people's anger away from government and onto business. The government does not provide this nation's wealth - industry does. When the educational system begins to teach this reality instead of the anti-capitalist dogma they teach now rationalism just might be restored in the land.
As for the Clintons. I wonder why you ask me this question. Is it to stir debate or are you actually not aware of their socialist positions in the 60's?

Claptrap is in the eye of the beholder - or - one man's wisdom is another man's claptrap. (I hope it's not lunchtime.) [ROLLEYES]

I would only suggest that Soc Sec, Medicare and Medicaid are indeed socialist programs and none of them work. The GI Bill is is not socialist, it is capitalist, providing a different kind of supplemental remuneration for services rendered.

My question was meant to read: "By what right and evidence do you charge that the Clintons "were young communists." ?

Let me see if I can help you with your comprehension issue.... when anyone believes that those in a position of authority is entitled to hold in common, ascribe, control and/or distribute all resources or items of economic value, for uses according to the social agenda or machinations of that office... it known as “communism.”

Quite similar to those, like FDR and his descendent ideologues, that extort, by coercion and abuse of office, to support their social engineering pipedreams.... they are call “democrats.”

    Hope this helps....
( -by way transferring knowledge from one that “has” and it giving willingly to some “ have not”)

    Have a nice day
  • voltaire said 1 years ago
O mighty one! Of course "government does not provide this nation's wealth---industry does."
That is industry's job, not government. As to the Clinton's being communists, then I would guess that millions of good Americans would fall in that category because of your own
personalized decision of what socialism or communism is. Ah, well, there is just no hope for you, nobull. Are you worth saving your political soul? [LOL]
  • nobullthinker said 1 years ago
I've had numerous Christians attempt to save my 'immortal' soul but you are the first to realize that Leftism is a religion that wants to save 'political' souls. And you're right to doubt that my political soul can be saved just as those Christians have failed to save my immortal soul.

You imply that your definitions of socialism and communism are different from mine. Care to elaborate?

Twelve million illegals doing jobs that American wont work!!!!!Huhhhhh!
We have a surplus of labor in our prison and jail systems. Offer them those wages and a chance to be outside the walls of confinement and I am sure we can solve our man power shortage...
Plus....farm workers, besides being paid to work, they also received free housing and medical care. On the other hand, We pay to care and house millions of prisoners that could be loan-out, freeing up space for the worse of the worse. That would free up monies we spend to educate prisoners to educate our children, hence, breaking the cycle of the un-learned that fill the prisons.
Moreover, all those folks receiving welfare support could move to the farm, keep their welfare checks, work and be paid, free medical, and housing with child care...
Those twelve million aren't just here for the low pay, it's all of the perts that is attracking the crowd.

It is a full out lie that there is a shortage of bodies available for work. The statistics are finagled. Millions of people are living at a higher income level by swindleing the government than if they were actually working.
  • Ancient1 said 1 years ago
Surely you jest... why, what would the ACLU say about such cruel actions? "Work"... ? NO color TV... no soap operas?
    [ROLLEYES]
  • bibletalk said 1 years ago
Even the Aclu could not complain about volunteer workers, prisoners willing to work outsides of the confines on a jail cell to serve off their time & punishment. Would it be against any laws or the ACLU's position to ask for volunteers?
Community service is given to some today who are convicted of small crimes and misdemeanors without pay.
If this would be legal to do under the Constitution, this would indeed solve many many of our country's problems concerning labor, taxes, education, and over-crowding prisons.
Confusion is profitable, solutions to problems causes exposure & fault and a sharing of the profits....

Your plan might help the situation. It's a program that has been tried in many societies throughout history including our own society. Under the politically correct cloud that we now live, however, using prisoners for labor would be considered cruel at best and torture at worst. It would be shouted down by the indoctrinated and lawyers would use imaginary abuses to enrich themselves.

I still think what should be done is have those who are delinquents or high school dropouts do the work of undocumented workers. Those who have committed acts of child abuse and domestic violence should also be doing the work of undocumented workers.

Last but not least, our politicians in Washington who started this mess should do the work of undocumented workers. For those who want separation of church and state, let us separate the state from the schools, the state from businesses?

The GI Bill is great. Yet Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid are in danger and need to be privatized.

Since George Washington warned about entangling alliances, we should withdraw from the UN, World Bank, International Monetary Fund and concentrate on the borders and the USA.

Maybe some people may not understand it but the way to fight the Cold War Vestiges including the Creeping Socialism is to confront it head on and start dismantling it. It is my observation but maybe you could orient me.

  • nobullthinker said 1 years ago
All the ideas you offer here have fine potential and should be followed up. But it's the core problem - socialism - that has to attacked head on as you correctly point out. How do we do that? First things first. We have to fix this immigration problem and resolve this upcoming election.
We're at a critical point right now to see if the People will be able to take back political power.
    Thanks for dropping by.
  • rcalvarezgalloso said 1 years ago
For me it is a pleasure to drop by. You are one of the few who provide wisdom in a world that needs it. My suggestion for the immigration problem was the one using delinquents and high school dropouts was a response to those who would tell me: We need undocumented workers because an American Citizen would not do the work and I would remember seeing people wandering aimlessly, doing nothing, and that was where I had the idea.

Reading again about the need to tackle illegal immigration, I remember the time I was in Germany and Switzerland in 1973. I was at a record store in Basel, Switzerland. One of the store owners told me that Switzerland solved their immigration problems in 1301 [10 years after the start of the Swiss Confederation]. They approved a law still in the books after 700 years that prohibited immigration after a certain date in 1301. Under this law, anyone can visit Switzerland or pass by as a transit to another country but living there and gaining citizenship is forbidden. Those who are sons and daughters of Non Swiss Nationals cannot be Swiss Citizens. It extends many generations but it is an incentive not to live there. In fact, Swiss Citizens who study medicine and do medical training programs can receive a Doctor of Medicine and Surgery Degree while the Non Swiss Citizens who study medicine and do medical training programs receive a Certificate of Completion of Medical Studies and sent back home.

Another solution can come from Mexico itself. Before dismissing a solution from Mexico as being unrealistic. I remember while living in Venezuela in the 1970's, I knew a girl who was born in Mexico to British Parents. Mexico in the 1970's had a similar law like in Switzerland. Maybe the law is still in the Mexican books but it dates from the time Emperor Maximilian was killed in 1867. What is known is that any Central American Crossing the Border between Mexico and Guatemala are immediately sent back to their country of origin. These are things that have aroused my curiosity and may arouse those of the readers.

PS: When I said Venezuela in the 1970's, I meant the late 1970's.

Don't know that Bill and Hillary were "communists," but you do make an excellent point here regarding the desire for cheap labor.

    Keep it up!
