Get a grip you Lefty Dems. Your merry-go-round may come crashing to the ground
There is no one on earth more class conscious than your ordinary American liberal. No task can be undertaken in this country until the class police have verified that the fairness of the race/gender/sexuality/etc. demography has been satisfied. Bill Clinton did not invent that concept he only perfected it. If you’re old enough you might remember how he formed his cabinet when he first came to office. You remember, don’t you, that he intended for his cabinet to “look like America”? The thought process went something like this:
“OK, we’re going to be needing a Jew or two to start with and of course we’ll have to have at least one gay – get me a bull dyke for that spot. Throw a midget in there somewhere and get me two or three more women, too. Make sure at least one of them is black. Don’t accept any applications from patriots, military men or corporate executive types. I’ll be the only token white man in this outfit. No, we won’t need a retard. I covered that when I picked my VP”.
The end result of this process was a nightmare and the intentions that were behind these actions on Clinton’s part have never been properly investigated. It still appears to me to have been an overt attempt to cripple the functioning of the American government. Whatever the truth about these actions may have been the reality is that by this method of choosing his cabinet Clinton had institutionalized political correctness. He’d brought the carnival to town and designed a cabinet model whose pattern is followed to this day.
We’ve been riding this merry-go-round for some 15 years now and it’s been happily spinning along without any direct cause fatalities. And now we’ve come to the ’08 elections and the Left is in an excited state demanding that the speed of the ride be increased. Indeed the speed has already been turned up as the hype of a ‘woman vs. black man’ contest has launched spirits into the stratosphere. Ah, but this week we’ve felt a rumbling and heard a disturbing gnashing of gears under the joyful music of the calliope. Something is amiss.
The media side of this celebration of diversity is in a terrible quandary. Its old tried and true measuring instruments of political dynamics are not forecasting outcomes that accurately predict voting results. The political results themselves have taken a secondary place in media interest to the primary concern of media’s own systems failure. ‘What has happened’, they ask? ‘Why has our polling apparatus failed us so miserably? Was it the increased youth interest? Was it the lax voting regulations? Was there interstate busing of voters by candidates?’ These and a dozen other questions have been asked in order to get a handle on what is causing political analysts to suddenly find their predictive abilities to be hopelessly untrustworthy. They’ve asked every question but one. The one that political correctness will not let them ask: ‘Is bigotry at the root of this problem?’
Actually I’ve misstated the issue. One question concerning bigotry has been asked. It is a question that is permitted in accordance with the rules of political correctness. It is, in fact, a question that is demanded by political correctness: “Are men and white people lying to pollsters to hide their sexist/racist underpinnings?” That is the way Leftists think. It would never occur to them that their own bigoted hearts were skewing political reality.
Back at the merry-go-round there is much celebration as the people of the Left line up for the ride (it’ll be a free ride, of course). And stepping up to take controls are the two inevitable Democrats. Barrack takes Iowa and throws the switch. The machine begins to turn and pick up speed. Beautiful hand carved figures begin to rise and fall laden with ecstatic flower children in tie-dyes and lace all aboard for the journey to the Age of Aquarius. I mean it’s a genuine Beatles album cover moment, fer sure.
But something’s not right. The machine is continuing to pick up speed. There’s a fight over the controls. Hillary, backed by throngs of angry women, has charged Barrack and grabbed control in New Hampshire. An ugly fight has broken out. Oprah’s been thrown to the ground and is in danger of being pulled into the gears of the machinery. Uh-O! I see Rangal and Jackson and Sharpton! Oh my! Code Pink!!! Code Pink!!! And still the machine gains speed.
Like bags of colorful laundry old hippies go flying through space. ‘Utes are flung through the air till they crash headlong into the concrete of reality. The entire place is slippery from all the mush pouring out of their skulls. It’s terrible ladies and gentlemen. It’s the worst catastrophe. Oh, the humanity! The machine is flying to pieces. Beneath the beautiful façade of the merry-go-round the true source of racism is coming into view. It is not at the end of the finger that accuses racism. It has been behind the finger all along.

I can't consider exacerbating class tensions to be politics at its finest. In all honesty it is Democrat politics at its most common.

>>>>>Fred "Who" took a nose dive yesterday and now I am without a canidate.....Woe with me.....
>>>>>Did Bill put Hillary up running for president as another or alternative way for Bill to become president again and reside in the "White House?"
