Nuts or Nutless
I was cruising the news stations on the TV the other day and came across a piece of rubbish from Katie Kuric. She was interviewing each of the presidential candidates and hitting them with a single question: ‘What is your position on global warming?’ Now I don’t suppose I have to tell you that every Democrat claimed to believe it was real and had extensive plans for what to do about it. Unfortunately every one of the Republicans that I saw that night rolled right over and was nearly as firm in embracing global warming as the Democrats had been.
This is not good news for Republican voters. The implications are depressing.
Every Republican candidate knew that this was not an interview. It was an inquisition; an examination of one’s positions on the new faith. Surly some of the candidates were simply pandering on this question. They had to have known that to deny global warming would incite the media to burn them at the stake. I recognize that as a genuine possibility – almost a matter of fact even. To speak the truth on this issue could be a career-ending move. But couldn’t it also make one’s career? On our side of the aisle we value truth and on occasion have been known to recognize it when we hear it. More importantly we have a pretty good ear for when we’re being pandered to. And we don’t like it. The ugly truth is that if there is a Republican candidate out there that does not buy into global warming he did not have the guts to say so.
But I’m not sure that nutless Republicans are more to be feared than Republican nuts are. What if all of them were telling the truth and they actually do believe in global warming? That would mean that they lack independent thinking skills. There is virtually no weight of scientific evidence to support the belief that man-made global warming is the least bit real. Nor can any of the five senses detect this supposed change in the environment. On what basis, then, does anyone “believe” in global warming? And why is there not a candidate from either party holding forth an opposing view?
I am glad that Grand Inquisitor Kuric tested the beliefs of the presidential hopefuls on this issue. It has clarified for me who the honest and courageous conservatives are. Either there are none or they’ve all gone to la la land for tea with Lord Algore.

It would be an improvement to hold a contest. Whoever can pee the farthest would be President.[WINK]
Cati...[LOL][LOL][LOL]
yes ... this issue is being politicized and Common Sense will fly out the window .... but pretending our smokestack gases are good for the environment or neutral is just plain STUPID!!!!!!! [OHMY][LOL]
Methinks maybe Joe Republican should run for President ... since he enjoys telling jokes about people crapping on bird's heads, perhaps he could regale Katie with his charming jokes while impressing us with his doo doo fetishism ... LOL
I left the US and live happily far away from the Untied States of USA because, while dimwits argue about how their party is better than the other party, as though this were a Super Bowl Football Contest, the dollar shrinks, and our freedoms are thrashed while the stupidist crime boss to ever occupy the White House embarrases our nation with his mismanagement of our government.....
I've voted with my feet .... I'll vote for Ron Paul in the primaries, because he has the balls to stand up to legalized bribery and call it for what it is ..
Anyone who votes for the "mainstream" candidates shouldn't whine about a huge tax increase or further erosions to our freedoms ....
LEGALIZED BRIBERY IS THE CANCER AFFLICTING OUR BODY POLITIC.
BOTH PARTIES EXPLOIT THIS SYSTEM AT OUR EXPENSE.
