Duh!? Al Gore wants to know just how stupid we are. Actually he clearly thinks we are morons. I'm sorry. Let me be still more specific. He thinks Democrats and Liberals are morons.
Al's new movie, "An Inconvenient Truth" is a transparent political ploy that only an idiot could fail to see through. He has positioned himself as the White Knight of environmentalism and, by extension, the best hope of liberalism. In fact he could not possibly care less about the issue of global warming because he knows it is a complete fabrication invented by liberals and exacerbated by democrats to extort votes through fear. Extorting votes through fear is something Al is thoroughly familiar with. He accused the republicans of this practice in one of his most often quoted speeches..."He played upon our fears!"
Now this master politician, this genius who learned politics at the foot of the most disgusting president in American history, has the audacity to create a major Hollywood production designed to terrorize his own voting base. The democrats have been desperately in need of an issue that would set them apart from republicans as Americans have become increasingly aware that their only choice is between two evils of seemingly equal depravity. Al has positioned himself to appear to be standing head and shoulders above the run of the mill candidates on the political horizon. The fact is that he is only standing on a ladder that has been sunken to a new low.
Two questions arise from this brash (insane?) move.
First, what will Hillary do? Since her tactic has been to keep a low profile and let the press and Hollywood make her into a goddess she has no issue to call her own. She has, in effect, allowed Gore to not only define the democratic issue for the next presidential campaign, she has allowed him to own it. She knows she cannot get on board this train because Gore is its engineer. She will have to hype an issue like he did. I expect her to take the shotgun approach - women, gays, blacks, unions, anti-war and all the other usual issues claimed by liberals and democrats. Now, however, I think she will be forced to emphasize one or more of them. It will be fun to watch as she attempts to manipulate both the press and her minions.
The other question is this: Is Gore right? Will the chicken littles dutifully run under his umbrella for protection from the falling sky? Are they the idiots he thinks they are?

If I say the earth revolves around the moon then it is true until you or someone else proves me wrong. I don't like Al Gore. I think, no I know, he's a moron. You have just put yourself on the same level as Al with your ignorant statement. You THINK there is no such thing as global warming so therefore it is true. This is typical republican thinking. This is not a new issue with Al. Al has always been convinced the earth is getting warmer. Even if he's wrong, I would still rather see someone fight for something they believe in than to be a mindless moron and babble on about something they have NO knowledge of just because some dumb dick in D.C. said it was so. Why do otherwise intelligent people insist on being led around by the nose like cattle because their political party says they are not smart enough to make up their own mind about something? You should be ashamed of your lack of interest in a subject which could possibly effect your grand children. You don't even care enough to find out if there is any merit to it or not. All you care about is bashing democrats. That's fine but dem. bashing won't take care of your grand children. Now, as far as Bill goes, show me another president who had as much approval as Bill and or show me a president who did as much for America as Bill did and I dare you to show me a president who will go down in history as an equal with Bill besides Lincoln? 2. My dislike for Al is not based on an emotional reaction. It is based on observation of his demonstrated lack of morality. When you say that Al believes in global warming you show a lack in your ability to discern honesty.

If you "would rather see someone fight for something he believes in than be a mindless moron and babble on about something they have no knowledge of just because some dumb dick in D.C. said it was so" why do you make an exception for Al? He does not believe in global warming - he is leading you around by the nose.
4. I am not going to be caught up in the chicken little panic being generated by emotion based thinkers and political deceivers even though you try to raise the level of threat to include my grand-children. (You know there is a real moral to the chicken little story. Inform yourself.)

6. As for Bill. Talk about being mindlessly led around by the nose. Would you feel the same about him if it were your mother he'd raped? You are blind to evil and are worrying about the wrong things when it comes to your grand-children. You are being played by the politics of fear, duped into looking skyward as your birthrights and freedoms are being squandered.
Fact number two: Gore does truly care about this issue.

Here are some more facts for your ignorance to chew on.
As a Harvard undergraduate he had studied with Roger Revelle, one of the first people in the world to monitor carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. After being elected to Congress in 1976, Gore had held the first Congressional hearings on global warming. And in 1992 he had written Earth in the Balance, a passionate, fact-flooded bestseller that detailed the dangers of global warming.
The next time you want to sling mud at someone, maybe, just maybe you should do some research and see if the vile you are spitting is bullshit.
You can believe that global warming is actually occuring but you absolutely cannot provide the evidence to prove it and make it a fact. You can say you believe Al is being honest about his concern for global warming but you cannot know for certain what is in the man's heart - he's a politician for God's sake!
When unsupported beliefs become facts, you become a man of faith. Once you accept that faith is a fair measuring stick for reality you have stepped beyond reality. You are into religion.
I don’t claim to know what’s in Gores heart. You made that up. By looking at his actions for the past 25 years, he has shown the signs of someone who truly cares for the environment. It is just that simple. As for your lecture on faith and reality, well, I took philosophy classes. Please save your boring thoughts for someone who gives a shit.
