A Vote Nazi Speaks Out

March 4, 2007 / by nobullthinker

Seems like about every other month or so someone comes to this site with a suggestion of how we can get better results out of our electoral process. Well, it’s that time again. And this time I think someone has hit upon a powerful idea for improving the system.

There is general agreement among the People that in election after election we end up with the same two choices on our ballots – bad and worse. It appears that our democratic process is working inversely to the theory of natural selection. Common sense dictates that if in each election the people always choose the best candidate at the lower levels of government then at the very highest level only the finest politicians will still be running. But the process is clearly not working out that way. Why not? Is natural selection a failed theory?

Not at all. Given the parameters of the American experiment in democracy the present outcomes are entirely in accordance with the theory of natural selection. We should not expect the best people to rise to the top. We should expect exactly the results we are seeing. With the qualifications for voting that are now in place we should not expect any but the most deceitful politicians to rise to the top.

The theory of democracy incorporates the theory of natural selection within it. Where the American experiment fails is in not adhering strictly to the ruthless selection process the way nature does. We allow everyone in this country to vote with only two qualifications; an age minimum and proof of citizenship. And even the citizenship qualification is now under attack. The core reason for our declining State is, then, that the power of the vote is not in the hands of the fittest; the most intelligent and best informed, it is in the hands of the mob.

I know that denying any American the right to vote sounds like heresy but that’s only because most of us do not know our history. The founding fathers never intended that every American should cast a vote. Certain safeguards to the process were put in place by them and qualifications were laid down. The Electoral College, for example, was intended to put a filter between the direct judgment of the mob and the better judgment of the elite. But what is most surprising about the founding fathers is that they understood the “mob” to be that group of people we consider elitists today; male, white, property owners. It was the members of that mob alone who possessed the right to vote.

By today’s definition those qualifications were sexist, racist and elitist. And if we aren’t going to hold ourselves to the ruthless laws of survival of the fittest we need to acknowledge that there was a degree of sexism, racism and elitism in that standard. But we must also acknowledge that it was the members of that elite group who took it upon themselves to surrender much of their power for the sake of the principles of equality. As noble as that idea may have been its implementation has led to the chaos we see today. It is in this chaos that the predator politician now flourishes.

It is quite easy to see the truth of what I’m saying by taking a practical look at the parties as they now stand. The Democrat Party represents the “mob”. It gathers to it every fractionalized, self-interest group it can get its hands on. A large percentage of these people have no physical investment in this country; they don’t own property, don’t own a business – many don’t even pay taxes. They want government cheese and “rights” that do not exist in nature. The Republican Party represents what remains of the “elitists” in this country, people who own property, pay taxes, have legitimate families and produce the things that fuel the American economy. We see similar divisions in virtually every Western Democracy and because the vote is granted to the entire mob in all of these countries two things are inevitable:

A. The politicians most practiced in the art of deceit will rise to the top.
B. There will be tendencies toward socialism and moral breakdown.

If you accept this perspective you will understand that clearly there is nothing that can be done to reform the Democrat Party. This leaves the Republican Party as the one choice left to uphold traditional American values. It is becoming clear to those who cherish those values, however, that while the Republican Party exists in name it no longer comes close to representing the values it’s supposed to stand for. The distinction between the two parties is evaporating. The questions we must therefore ask are, “Can the Republican Party be reformed? And how do we go about it?”

The answer, I believe, is out there. But it is being proclaimed by a prophetic wild man. The masses find it difficult to take this showman seriously because he rants in frenetic bursts. But the fact is that if the intelligent listener can get beyond the façade of this man’s entertainment styling’s he will find a sage who possess true Renaissance qualities. Would you believe I’m talking about Michael Savage? Probably not if you’ve ever listened to his show.

Right now Mr. Savage is forming a plan - a movement – designed to force the Republican Party to return to its conservative roots. It’s very simple, really. It consists of nothing more than making it clear to Republican candidates that they must hold to true conservative values or they will not be elected. We will refuse to vote for them as an exercise of our third voting option – NO VOTE FOR YOU!

I’ll leave it to Michael to give you the details. If you don’t get him on the radio where you live you can pick him up on the internet. He’s on in Chicago at WIND at 5:05 PM CST.

I am Nobullthinker and I approve this plan. (No rights reserved.)

Hey, you don't like our dictatorship, get your own.

But seriously, I share all but one of your opinions (I mean, of the ones you express here. The Republican voters are as dimwitted as the Dems. The Red States are by and large populated by white trash and red necks. But, then . . .

My most recent blog is an excerpt from a good book (not THE good book). Here's another excerpt....

"A truly liberal government, founded on democratic principles and operated by men of integrity and wisdom would be superior to any other form of government. The problem with liberal democracy, as reflected in the example of it with which I am most familiar, is that men of integrity and wisdom cannot be elected to high office. The American majority spends so many of its available hours working and traveling back and forth to work that it has little time left to acquire the knowledge needed to distinguish between the honest man and the charlatan. The media, having discovered what sells, deals in trivia. The infamous “OJ” trial, the constant barrage of “mother kills her babies” stories, and the occasional hostage event in New Jersey, tell us nothing fundamentally necessary for our understanding of the difference between good and evil. Consequently, in a well-financed and widely-advertised race against the charlatan, the honest man has almost no chance to succeed. By definition, the honest man is restricted to the truth, whereas the charlatan, also by definition, is free to use all available forms of chicanery to make himself seem more fit for office than the man who actually is. So what we have in America are races among charlatans, some of whom are out-and-out fools."

Americans and Israelis should join the British Commonwealth of Nations. We are incapable of self-government and can't get along with anyone save the Brits.

There is a great deal of truth in the quote you cite. We need a way to qualify voters in this country. Number one qualification would be that a voter must show that he's paid his fair share of taxes, i.e. he's made an investment in his country.

Sly: Your perspective is all wrong. You see the glass half empty. It is not we who cannot get along with them. It is they who refuse to get along with us.

I suggest, nobull, that we also need a media devoted to honest analysis. That's a tough sell, but knowing why we are failing is at least a beginning.

This question is intended to be humorous I'm guessing. If not I'll have to pass on making that list. I don't have that much time to spare.

I perused it but will have to give it a more thorough going over before making any comment.

The crap level presented by one of your commenter brings BS to a new and higher level-nuff said there. As a proud citizen of a red state, red neck and all (I even watch NASCAR and live in a mobile home) I don't feel we need an elitist left leaning liberal form of government to lead and save us from our selves.
There are a couple of things that might help both parties.
    1. Get rid of the Electoral College; Let the American Citizens speak for themselves.
    2. Shorten the process and get rid of about half the primaries. By the time we get to the real election many feel that it is already over-so why vote.
    3. Both parties need to move back to the center and away from the extremists that are now running these institutions. We need to reclaim what is ours and bring both parties back to what made them great not the perversions they are now.

I appreciate your comments and envy your mobile home but I think we disagree on who qualifies as an elitist. That mobile home of yours makes you an elitist because you are a property owner. I'll bet you pay your taxes, too. So you'd be qualified to vote by my standards. (I'll permit the Nascar habit just so long as you don't sink to wrestlemania level.)

[THUMBUP] A good post. I also posted about Michael Savage (with reservations). The Republicans are the best, probably only, chance to save America only if they stand for conservative values. They seem to have joined the Democrats in spending and Socialist agendas.

I prefer not to get myself too tied to the conservative values label. I believe more in Constitutional values. The term conservative values has different meaning to different people. My values are written with permanence in document that was been tempered by history.

The average American voter no longer has the knowledge to elect wisely. I swear I have heard people say "XXXXXX just looks more presidential" "The XXXXX party has been in power so now it's YYYYYturn" "I voted for XXXX because I thought he would win" Honestly, how about picking an issue, playing devils advocate for all sides of it, and then voting Libertarian or Republican like common sense dictates? Just had to throw that in there!
  • nobullthinker said 1 years ago
You're right about the average American. Since we cannot raise the intelligence level we need to qualify the voter level.

I liked what you wrote.I'm an old man who only started listening to political talk eight yrs.ago after retirement.Did not know a liberal from a conservative. It was only then that I found out I was a Conservative.Working all my life ,night school, army, paying for what I get, marrage and children. That's taking responsibility for your actions. All = Conservatism
